At RAMBER, our work plays a critical role in the final presentation of your project. These Terms & Conditions ensure clarity, protect all parties, and support the level of finish we are known for.

1. Scope of Work RAMBER provides specialized spray finishing and painting services primarily for high-end residential interior projects. Exterior spray finishing and painting work may be performed on a case by case basis prioritizing when the service is an add-on directly connected to an interior finishing project. All work is limited to the scope outlined in the approved quote, estimate, or written agreement. Any additional services must be approved in writing and may be subject to additional charges.
2. Pricing & Changes All quotes are valid for 15 days unless otherwise stated. a. For Cabinetry Updating Services: The online authomated Pricing for Refresh, Repaint and Reface services is estimated assuming normal wear and tear on the substrate for average size Flat slate doors , Drawer fronts and Side panels. The price at the check out page is intended for customer convenience allowing them to plan the Cabinetry Update with a clear and reliable amount of CAD dollars and is directly related to the scope of work necesary to deliver excelent Solutions. The final price will be confirmed at our shop after receiving and before commencing the intended work. If any exceptional major extra cost is adviced, it will be relayed to our customer and the specific item(s) will be placed onhold until we have received written approval .
3. Payment Terms a.For Spray Finishing at the Shop or any Cabinetry Updating Services: A first payment of 50% is required to secure scheduling. the remaining second payment of 50% plus extras, is due prior to site delivery or pick up from our shop. b. For services performed on-site on behalf of Developers, Contractors, Designers or Homeowners. An advance payment is required to schedule work and Progress payments may be required depending on project size and duration. Final payment is due upon substantial completion of the work. RAMBER reserves the right to pause or delay work in the event of non-payment.
4. Client Responsibilities The client is responsible for ensuring the project site is ready for finishing work. This includes providing clear access, maintaining appropriate site conditions, and coordinating with other trades to prevent delays or damage. RAMBER is not responsible for issues caused by other trades, site conditions, or lack of preparation.
5. Site Conditions Final finish quality depends on proper environmental and substrate conditions, including temperature, humidity, ventilation, and surface preparation. RAMBER reserves the right to delay or suspend work if conditions are not suitable to achieve a high-quality result.
6. Aesthetic Expectations Spray-applied and specialty finishes may include minor variations in texture, sheen, or tone. These variations are inherent to the materials and application process and are not considered defects. Perfect uniformity cannot always be guaranteed, particularly in custom or high-end finishes
7. Warranty RAMBER provides a limited workmanship warranty covering defects directly related to the application of coatings under normal use. This warranty does not cover damage caused by impact, misuse, neglect, structural movement, moisture, or work performed by other trades. Warranty is issued only after full payment has been received.
8. Limitation of Liability RAMBER’s liability is limited to the value of the services provided. RAMBER is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of use, project delays, or reputational impact. Where RAMBER’s work contributes to preserving the quality or reputation of a project, this value is considered part of the service provided.
9. Completion & Acceptance Work is considered complete upon client walkthrough or when the project is reasonably usable for its intended purpose. Any concerns must be reported within 3 days of completion. Final payment and/or signing of the Completion Form constitutes acceptance of the work
10. Scheduling, Access & Billable Time Scheduled work time is reserved exclusively for the client’s project, either at our shop or on-site. If RAMBER is unable to perform work due to delivery delays from our customer to our spray shop or lack of access when we have on-site scheduled work, unprepared conditions, interference from other trades, or missed appointments, the time allocated will be charged as billable. This includes, but is not limited to: Spray Booth time No access to the job site upon arrival Project not ready for scheduled work Delays caused by other trades or site conditions Missed or cancelled appointments without sufficient notice RAMBER acknowledges the unpredictability inherent to construction and finishing projects. In such cases, all crew members will remain on-call and available for the following two (2) hours, during which time reasonable efforts will be made to contact the client or their on-site representative and proceed with the scheduled workday. If work cannot proceed after this period, a half day shift (4hrs.) will be calculated and billed at $150 CAD per hour per each crew member. RAMBER reserves the right to backcharge for lost working time, travel expenses, accomodation and rescheduling costs for any work scheduled more than 30 km. outside the Greater Victoria Area as well as for Flight In- Fly Out (FIFO) or Sail In-Sail Out (SISO) projects outside of Vancouver Island. CANADA. To avoid additional charges, clients are expected to confirm site readiness and access 24 hr. prior to the scheduled work date.
